A creature incapable of flight
Exhibiting fear of life
Walking the path of least existence
The easy way out is the only way to be
Descendent is the rain
Pathetic he became
Dependent on the pain
Erratic movements in new terrain
Fever as colour wanes from his face
Succumb to the embrace
That's gripped him tightly, whisked him nightly away
Come upon him
Hands fastened in prayer
His frightening grin; his deathly stare
Descendent is the rain
Pathetic he became
Dependent on the pain
Erratic moves
The curse of a coward
The verse he devoured
The shadow that towers over
Has left him lame
The first to be worn down
An aberrant form now
Who upon himself would rather turn the blade
Into blackness he must fade
An aberrant form
Blackened with scorn
He shall not be reborn
His scurrility exceeds the norm
Descendant
Descendent
Why don't you descend?
With mercy
Take this life
Unearth me
Secure a pleasant flight
With mercy
Take this life
Unearth me
Securing a pleasant flight
Let fly the knife
Descendant
Descendent
Why don't you descend?

This is more blackened than the predecessor and shows the first impressive results of Scáth Na Dêithe on their way to their own style. A very dark and intense release. mourner
Well this band certainly lives up to their name. It’s exactly as advertised: heavy and gross. It’s the sonic equivalent of being dunked in a putrid vat of radioactive sludge and being forced to eat your way out with a crusty spoon. It seems like the guitarist is physically pained by not playing as raunchy as possible. I fuckin’ love it, dude. 💚🤘🏻🍄💜
